In what materials can Crownsert® be made?

Crownserts are available in three material families to fit performance and environment needs:
17-4 PH, A286 CRES, and alloy steel.
Crownserts in A286 CRES can have a Passivated or DFL Finish.
Crownserts in alloy steel will always have a CAD Plate & DFL Finish.

Which Crownsert material should I choose?

It depends on your environment and loads. For corrosion and temperature performance, A286 CRES is a strong choice; for high strength with stainless benefits, 17-4 PH is common; for maximum strength at lower cost where corrosion is controlled, alloy steel can be preferred.

Do part numbers change between locking and non-locking styles?

Yes. Locking Crownserts include an “L” in the base number and have distinct A286 and alloy steel suffixes, as shown in the tables.
