Threaded inserts and purpose-built tooling for strong, repeatable installations
Crownserts® provides threaded inserts and matched installation tooling for reinforcing threads in lightweight materials such as aluminium and magnesium. The range includes metric and imperial inserts in locking, non-locking, standard and heavy-duty configurations.
Tooling is a central part of the Crownserts® system. Step drills and taps prepare the hole, while inspection and removal tools support the completed installation.
Our preferred manual installation solution is the Crownserts® Hand-Installation Tool. It drives the insert to the correct depth and then swages it into the parent material, combining two operations in one tool for a faster and more controlled result.
